A project by Archer & Buchanan Architecture, LTD
To create visual interest in our landscapes, general rule of thumb is to introduce something that stands in contrast to the dominant material. In a project titled, “Cor-Ten Cattails Sculptural Fence”, the designer/artist constructed a sculptural fence from 300, ten-foot-high steel blades. This functions as a deer deterrent, art installation, as well as a fence. Designed by Archer & Buchanan Architecture, LTD, this installation has won many awards. The dark, rustic orange provides a rich contrast to the green of the surrounding landscape, adding visual appeal and a dominating presence by virtue of its material and scale
This same technique works with other materials as well, such as aggregates, boulders, and stone retaining walls. B. Rocke Landscaping specializes in custom hardscape designs. Whether our clients need a patio, driveway, or art-embedded stonework, we can help any hardscape reach its full potential.
